Candy and caramel apples are a delicious treat, but we're shaking things up a bit with decadent dark chocolate and crunchy granola! Serve as a fun dessert, or DIY gift for your next holiday party!
6 fuji or granny smith apples
Long popsicle sticks or skewers, to serve
16 oz. semisweet chocolate
2 cups granola
Clean, de-stem apples and skewer apples.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and grease it well with cooking spray or vegetable oil.
Double-broil chocolate over medium high heat. Whisk often until mixture has melted completely. Reduce heat to a low simmer.
Oone-at-a-time, coat apple with chocolate, tipping the bowl to make sure chocolate gets around all sides evenly.
Let excess drip off, then coat with granola and store on the parchment-lined baking sheet. Continue process until all apples are finished.
Let apples cool and serve immediately.
